VIRGINIA TECH-UNC pulled from WEEK 5 slate due to low degree of difficulty (maybe Ian can even playing field?) Closet to final score gets a BONUS W!

__________________________________________

ALMOST made the cut...

UTSA at Middle Tennessee (Key C-USA game. Blue Raiders coming off BIG win over THE U. Wanted this game on the WEEK 5 slate, but Huskies-Bruins beat it out at the wire)

Virginia Tech at UNC (Hokies ONLY a 9 point dawg at midweek, but Heels should win by 3 TDs or more. Maybe Ian can help even the playin field?)

LSU at Auburn (Tigers didn't put up much of a fight vs. PSU. Brian Kelly SHOULD be 4-1 after this one).

Oregon State at #12 Utah (Beavers ALMOST got Trojans last weekend... do with that what you want. Utes seem to have regained their stride after opener loss to Gator Nation).

Liberty at Old Dominion (Just another in a series of classic September Commonwealth Clashes in 2022!)

  3. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS...

    UCLA 37 WASHINGTON 34:
Bruins schedule has been suspect (including a 1 point escape over South Alabama... albeit a mighty SUN BELT team!). However, UCLAN's should have a great home crowd behind them and a D-line that should be able to put pressure on Penix. If Bruins offense can control some tempo, UCLA pulls a mild upset in Tinseltown.

  9. 30 DAYS TILL HALLOWEEN!!! GOOOO PACK!!!

    MISSISSIPPI 26 KENTUCKY 23:
Both teams will try to control tempo. If Rebs can keep UK's running game in tow, USC transfer QB Jaxson Dart will get enough done in the air to get a great party goin on in The Grove.

KANSAS STATE 29 TEXAS TECH 27:
Both teams coming off of big wins last weekend. Both teams bad on 3rd down on offense but good on 3rd down on D. Give Vaughn & Martinez the advantage for Cars in The Little Apple.

    ALABAMA 37 ARKANSAS 19:
Bama was almost a 3 TD fav against Hook 'Em, and escaped with a one point W. Tide favored by 17 today. This game will be close for a while, but too much Bryce Young and Will Anderson for Pig Suey in 2nd half for Pig Suey.

FLORIDA STATE 39 WAKE FOREST 36:
Really tough game to call. Deacs coming in off that close shave vs. Tigers. Sam Hartman might be best QB in ACC. I had Deacs most of the week, but FSU's defense will make a play in the 4th and ACC's leading ground game will control the ball late in another ACC Maalox Masher.

  10. IOWA STATE 30 KANSAS 27:
Can Cyclones D slow down Jalon Daniels and NCAA's 4th ranked scoring offense? ISU shakes off tough loss to Baylor last weekend and wins a important BIG 12 - 2 game.

    OKLAHOMA STATE 41 BAYLOR 38:
Spencer Sanders and Pokes offense averaging 51 points a game, but tOSU hasn't played anyone. Bears have decent W's over BYU & IISU, but Mike Gundy has Cowboys ready after heartbreaking goal line stand L to Bears in last years BIG 12 -2 title game.

    TEXAS A&M 27 MISSISSIPPI STATE 24:
I already picked an unranked UCLA over #15 Washington. Can the numberless Bulldawgs do the same vs. #17 Aggies? Starkvegas will be rockin, but Jimbo's NIL All-Stars will now be 4-1 (with that one L being to tASU!)

    DUKE 23 VIRGINIA 20:
Pretty much a must win if Mike Elko wants a bowl game in year one. UVA's offense isn't great, but the D has been forcing TO's. Duke's D hasn't looked tremendous against their Power 5 opponents. Weather is looking better. If Devils can protect the ball, they go 4-1.

CLEMSON 30 NC STATE 23 (OT)
Sam Hartman had a field day against Clemson's secondary last weekend in Winston-Salem. Surely, Devin Leary will take some shots down field and NCSU's receivers will have to step up their game. (Clemson will have some players back this weekend to shore up the leaky D displayed against Deacs). Pack D will be ready, but DJU certainly has shown improvement since last season (although no T-Law, to be sure). Running game will be important with Will Shipley for Tigers and Slimy Shark toting toting the most yards for Pack. Tigers get the edge playing in Death Valley (as they try to tie tFSU's record ACC home win streak). Prepare for some bonus football... back to back OT games in 2021 & 2022!!! Of course, hope I'm wrong here!

  11. UNC 41 VIRGINIA TECH 19 < - BONUS POINT
(really bad UNC defense and not so great Hokie offense. Maybe the wet field will slow the game down?)
