ALMOST made the cut...

#12 TCU at Texas Tech
(TT can be tough in Lubbock, but hard to believe Horned Frogs only a TD fav vs. .500 Red Raiders.)

Navy at #8 Notre Dame
(Middies have a chance in the battle of the gold helmets... especially if Irish on the grips from demolishing by THE U. However, Navy has lost some luster from 5-0 start to season.)

Purdue at Iowa
(Boilers only an 8 point dawg, but if same Iowa team shows up as the one that handed it to tOSU, Purdue has no shot.)

UAB at Florida
(Gators are a surprising 11 point fav vs. one of the great stories of college football in UAB. Blazers come to Gainesville at 7-3. Could be interesting.)

 #20 LSU at Tennessee
(Butch Jones is out... is Butch Davis next? Or maybe Larry Fedora?)

ALMOST made the cut...

Alabama at Mississippi State
(Hard to leave a Top 25 matchup of the slate, but everyone is going to pick Bama, right? Both Bama vs. Miss St and tOSU vs. Sparty are TWO TD favorites. Methinks the latter has a MUCH better chance of being a close game)

Washington State at Utah
(Utes are actually a 1 point fav at home despite losing 4 of last 5 and are 5-4)

Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech
(Almost always a good game between the ACC Techs, but Jackets coming off of loss to Hoos)

Purdue at Northwestern
(David S. Green's Cats have had nine lives the last 3 weekends with THREE straight OT wins... plus THREE straight CFC appearances. Should have a LITTLE more breathing room vs. Boilers)

Nebraska at Minnesota
(Can Husker Coach Mike Riley save his job after OT loss to NW in Lincoln? Probably NOT)
