AFTER FURTHER REVIEW... 11/4/15

MY TOP TEN>>>

1. OHIO STATE (7-0)
Cardale Jones back at QB due to suspension of J.T. Barrett for driving under influence. I can't put Clemson at #1 yet (like CFP Committee). Buckeyes should handle Minnesota this weekend.

2. CLEMSON (6-0)
Wolfpack hung 41 on Tigers last weekend, but CU scored 56. Beat tFSU this weekend, and I will jump Tigers ahead of tOSU (regardless of what Bucks do vs. Gophers). Seminoles will be a tough out.

3. LSU (6-0)
Battle Royale at Bama Saturday night after a breather vs. Western Kentucky. Winner takes LARGE step to securing CFP spot. Fournette will have to be at his finest.

4. ALABAMA (7-1)
CFP Committee agrees with me that Tide should be in Top 4 right now. Beat LSU, and Ole Miss loss should be TOTALLY forgotten (almost).
____________________________________________________________

5. STANFORD (6-1)
Trees looked a vulnerable against a mysterious Washington State team last weekend, but they can beat all of the teams below them in my Top 10. Stanford passes eyeball test if nothing else. Should have no problem at Colorado this weekend.

6. TEXAS CHRISTIAN (7-0)
Can prove a lot to me at Stillwater this weekend.

7. BAYLOR (7-0)
Loss of QB Seth Russell hurts as Bears end exhibition season and start regular season at Kansas State this Thursday.

8. UTAH (6-1)
Utes on upset alert at Washington this weekend. Still has high aspirations despite loss to Trojans.

9. NOTRE DAME (6-1)
CFP Committee moving Irish to #5 is a joke. ND beats Temple in final two minutes. Will have another tussle as they move from Philly to Steel City this weekend.

10. MICHIGAN STATE (8-0)
Sparty livin' the life. Will it all end in Lincoln this weekend???

THIS WEEK IN THE ACC>>>

1. Clemson (8-0)
Gave up WAY too many points to NC State last weekend. tFSU will be a battle. Noles last test if Tigers can get to Charlotte (and that probably won't be much of a game).

2. Florida State (7-1)
Noles displayed depth of talent against mediocre Syracuse. Can put Georgia Tech heart breaker behind them with win in Tigertown.

3. North Carolina (7-1)
Back in Top 25, but for how long? This team could go in two totally opposite directions. ACC Coastal Champs, or losers of at least two more games. Duke, Miami, @VT (Beamer's last home game), @ NCS coming up.

4. Miami (5-3)
Give Canes cred for more than showing up in Durham without Brad Kaaya and Al Golden. Really did outplay Duke (at least for 3 quarters). This team has plenty of talent.

5. Duke (6-2)
Devils screwed themselves for 3 quarters, then did get screwed by refs on final 8 Lateral play. Controls own destiny in Coastal. Win over UNC-Cheat would help out a lot.

6. Pittsburgh (6-2)
Beat Notre Dame!

7. Louisville (4-4)
Barely squeezed by Boston College and Wake Forest last two weeks. Should be able to get to bowl eligibility, but it might be close.

8. Virginia Tech (4-5)
Will Hokies be able to give Frank Beamer another bowl game in his swan song? Gotta win 2 of 3 @GT, UNC, @UVA.

9.  NC State (5-3)
Pack had some moments against Clemson, but the D still resembles Swiss cheese at times. One more win for bowl eligibility. Chestnut Hill ghosts BEGONE!!!

10. Virginia (3-5)
Hoos showing some life, but it's tough to rank teams at the bottom of the ACC.

11. Georgia Tech (3-6)
If you like offense, but Jackets here. If you like defense better, put Boston College here. I like offense more.

12. Boston College (3-6)
Offense is more fun to watch that defense.

13. Syracuse (3-5)
Orange beat Deacs 30-17 way back on September 12th.

14. Wake Forest (3-6)
Deacons have one more loss than Orange.

WEEK #10: 2015 COLLEGE FOOTBALL CHALLENGE (sponsored by Bojangle's & Shreddie's)

(I couldn't give tFSU-Clemson and Duke-UNC full Game of the Week status along the same heights as LSU-Alabama, but I gave 'em a small picture cuz it's big in the ACC).

Saturday, November 7th

(NOTE:  We're going with College Football Playoff rankings from here on)
