_____________________________________________

ALMOST made the cut...

FRIDAY:  Virginia at Syracuse (Orange playing well out of gate for Coach Babers. This game might have made the WEEK 4 slate with a more impressive Hoos win over ODU last weekend)

Arizona at California (Winner will be halfway to bowl eligibility in this PAC-12 clash. Bears a FG fav)

Stanford at #18 Washington (Potential letdown game for Huskies after W over Sparty. Two TD point spread might be a bit much for U-Dub)

#7 USC at Oregon State (3-0 Beavers might make this a game for a while if they get off to a good start, but CFP bound Trojans are GUARANTEED to win by more than that one TD spread)

Texas Christian at Southern Methodist (Horned Frogs faved by a deuce over Mustangs)

  5. LAST FOOTBALL WEEKEND IN SEPTEMBER... WOW!!!

    CLEMSON 27 WAKE FOREST 19:
Tigers D too much for Sam Hartman and the Deacs. Sets up battle for Atlantic next weekend...

    BAYLOR 17 IOWA STATE 13:
Two of the better defensive teams in the country. Points will be hard to come by. Bears get important BIG 12 - 2 W on the road.

    KANSAS 37 DUKE 29:
Mike Elko needs this game if he wants to lead Devils to a bowl game in his first year. Looked like a good possibility to start the season, but I'll take Rock Chalk at home after W's over WVU and Houston.

    TENNESSEE 33 FLORIDA 30:
Gator Nation was riding high after opening season with win over Utes, but Kentucky brought them back to Earth. Josh Heupel has plenty enough offense to get Craigger's Vols to winners circle on Rocky Top. Vols headed for a BIG season.

NORTH CAROLINA 38 NOTRE DAME 30:
Really hard game to figure. Irish lost to Marshall and looked very MEH against Cal. But, they did have a very respectable performance against tOSU (especially on defense). Heels can score some points, but schedule has been lackluster to start. Drake Maye looks like the real deal, and leads Heels to first 4-0 start since 1997.

    MICHIGAN STATE 30 MINNESOTA 27:
PJ Fleck has Gophers putting up some gaudy numbers in 3-0 start, but competition has been nothing to write home about. Sparty shows some pride in East Lansing after getting drubbed by U-Dub.

    TEXAS 30 TEXAS TECH 26:
This series has had some wild and competitive games, but Hook Em has won last 4 against Red Raiders. Both teams still down their opening day QBs. If Horns bring their D they showed vs. Roll Tide, they get 5th straight.

APPALACHIAN STATE 29 JAMES MADISON 23:
Great to see James Madison in FBS and Sun Belt! Dukes have been a solid program for years and will give Mounites all they can handle with their defense. JMU has a great shot at the W in Boone, but tASU continues their magical season behind former Duke legend Chase Brice.

    WASHINGTON STATE 29 OREGON 26:
Wazzu has and underrated QB in Cameron Ward, a pretty good defense, and a win over good but not great Wisconsin. Ducks will come into a very hostile environment after W over BYU. Cougs go 4-0!!!

    TEXAS A&M 27 ARKANSAS 24:
Has Jimbo & The NIL All-Stars righted the ship with Max Johnson at QB? (or is THE U really not all that?) Pig Suey is good, but has worst pass D statistically. A&M will control the ball, play decent D, and get a big play or two downfield.

    I'll take PACK 52 HUSKIES 13

ENJOY THE WEEKEND and prepare for IAN... not HERMINE!!!
