ReplyDeleteSo great to see the progress of UCONN football under Jim Mora and making it to a bowl game in 2022 (and also an unexpected boost to strength of schedule for opponents). Huskies will keep game close for a while, but Thundering Herd D takes Marshall to winner's circle in Myrtle Beach.

ReplyDeleteTwo fairly evenly matched teams playing on the frozen blue carpet in Boise. EMU comes in the hotter team (winners of 3 straight), plus weather should favor Eagles more than Spartans.
LIBERTY 41 TOLEDO 37: (10 POINTS)
Up and down Flames lost Hugh Freeze, but will still continue to be a solid program. Rockets put up some big numbers this year, but mostly against non-bowl teams. Flames tougher schedule should help. Ws over Arkansas & BYU and close shave vs. Deacs. They have lost 3 straight however...
WESTERN KENTUCKY 40 SOUTH ALABAMA 37 (5 POINTS)
ReplyDeleteJaguars come in with a nice 10-2 record and (-4.5). Hilltoppers lost couple of offensive linemen to transfer portal, but get stud QB Austin Reed back in lineup. If o-line can hold up, WKU gets to winner's circle.

ReplyDeleteBears come in off a tough stretch with 3 straight L's to KSU, TCU (heart breaker), and TX. Falcons have won 4 straight, albeit to lesser opponents. This game might be fastest bowl game of the season as both teams will run the ball tons. Give the more athletic Bears a slight edge in 4th quarter.
