DEREK'S MAKE-UP GAME (he forgot ECU-Cincy)...

7:00 Texas Tech at Iowa State

NOTE: GT-UNC game did NOT make the WEEK 12 slate due do low degree of difficulty (that 3 TD point spread again... yada, yada). BUT you can still get a BONUS POINT for picking closest score)

_____________________________________

ALMOST made the cut...

Georgia Tech at #13 North Carolina (You can still make a BONUS POINT score pick on this one, but 3 TD spread too much to make the slate. Will Heels be looking ahead to Wolfpack on BLACK FRIDAY, though?)

#4 Texas Christian at Baylor (Can Baylor put CFP picture into chaos? Horned Frogs only a 2.3 fav)

Illinois at #3 Michigan (Illinois fell out of Top 25, but can also mess up CFP picture greatly. Wolves need to be focused and not look ahead to tOSU)

#14 Mississippi at Arkansas (Joey Freshwater missed a golden opportunity to beat Bama last weekend, and only a 2.5 fav. Pig Suey has a great shot at upset)

Syracuse at Wake Forest (Two teams whose stock is dropping rapidly. SU's  dropping faster than Deacs)

  4. PITTSBURGH 29 DUKE 26:
Heckuva tough game to call. Too bad Duke lost to UNC, or they would have control of ACC Coastal. Devils come in winners of three straight whilst Panthers have won two straight. Duke is second in the nation in turnover margin, but 0-3 against teams that run over 105 yards. Pitt gets ground game going and wins with late 4th quarter FG.

    EAST CAROLINA 40 HOUSTON 37:
Cougs have been giving up TONS of points as of late (including 77 two weeks ago vs. SMU). Purple Pirate Mike gets ECU back in win column in a thriller in G-Vegas.

    LOUISVILLE 16 NC STATE 13:
About as coin flip of a game as you can get. So many question marks entering this game. Doesn't look like Malik Cunningham or MJ Morris will play, but neither have severe injuries. Weather looks ugly. Should be a defensive battle with best overall D in NC State and a Cards D that can really force TOs. My confidence in Jack Chambers is low right now (time to prove me WRONG!) UL comes up with a big late game TO and kicks game wining FG. #gopack

    TEXAS 42 KANSAS 35:
Will be hard to rival last season's 57-56 KU win, but this game should be entertaining as well. Will Hawks QB (and early season Heisman leader) Jalon Daniels return from shoulder injury today? It's possible. Texas will be ready after tough loss to TCU. Look for Bijan Robinson to have a BIG day on the ground.

    IOWA 20 MINNESOTA 17:
Both teams come in hot with 3 game winning streaks and have paths to BIG 10 + 4 West title. Hawkeyes have easier path with win today and the season finale against Nebraska. I picked against Iowa last week, but not this week.

    GEORGIA SOUTHERN 30 MARSHALL 27:
Thundering Herd comes in with W's over ODU and ASU, but Eagles looking for bowl eligibility today. They will get it!

    BOISE STATE 34 WYOMING 29:
Winner takes control of the Mountain Division of the Mountain West Conference (that's as bad of a name as Atlantic and Coastal). 14 point spread WAY too large for BSU, but Broncs will win.

    OKLAHOMA 30 OKLAHOMA STATE 25:
Hard to believe how the fortunes have changes for these two programs in 2022. Who would have thought Sooners would be touchdown favs in this game a month ago? Brent Venables gets Boomer Sooner to bowl eligibility with a dominant defensive front in Norman.

    USC 39 UCLA 36:
Should be a great game with a great QB match-up betwixt Caleb Williams and Thompson-Robinson. Trojans still have a shot at CFP (too bad they lost that Maalox Masher to Utah) and will be the last team with the ball in a classic at the Rose Bowl.

BONUS POINT: Hopefully Jackets can do to UNC what BC did to NCSU last weekend. BUT...

    UNC 41 GT 23

PREPARE YOUR GUT FOR THANKSGIVING!!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!

  5. UTAH 37 OREGON 34:
Both teams trying to keep pace with USC for the PAC-12 lead. Utes threw down on the Ducks twice last season (including PAC-12 title game). Bo Nix is coming into the game injured but probably will give it a go. Utes playing best ball of the year and will get to the winner's circle for the 3rd striaght time vs. Quack Attack.
